My Paranormal Network

We don’t have new seasons officially declared for these paranormal-ish shows, but we want more time to explore these dark corners of our television sets… In the meantime, binge away and join the zeitgeist!

Prodigal Son Season 3
Outlook: Gloomy, officially cancelled
Creators: Chris Fedak, Sam Sklaver
Producers: Lee Toland Krieger, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter
Network: FOX
Cast: Tom Payne, Michael Sheen, Halston Sage, Lou Diamond Phillips

Why save it?: Whether you’ve taken a road trip with the Dark Passenger or are a Wendigo Worshipper, anyone into serial killer shows should be in love with Prodigal Son. So, imagine the son of New York’s most notorious serial killer gets a job hunting serial killers (I’m sorry, I might use that term four more times), but where might he get help profiling them? His serial killer dad, of course! Anyway, we really want a third season to see how that sister’s going to turn out (hint: serial killer)! This FOX show feels closer to being saved than many cancelled shows, but that cast is expensive, my friends…

Clarice Season 2

Outlook: Grim, locked in intellectual property hell keeping it from Paramount+
Creators: Alex Kurtzman, Jenny Lumet
Network: CBS
Cast: Rebecca Breeds, Michael Cudlitz, Lucca De Oliveira, Kal Penn

Why save it?: We all knew from the beginning that Clarice would never end up meeting our favorite cannibal due to the ridiculous hoops the producers had to jump through to get this show on the air in the first place, but it was nice to see the career of the agent who took down Buffalo Bill progress, even though her profiling abilities and Lutheranism never brought her over to paranormal investigations or even close to an X File! Can we save this show with letters, tweets or viewing numbers? Probably not, but we can try!

Evil Season 3

Outlook: Officially renewed, no premier date
Creators: Robert and Michelle King
Producers: Robyn-Alain Feldman, Aurin Squire, Patricia Ione Lloyd, Thomas J. Whelan
Network: CBS (season 1), Paramount+ (season 2 and beyond?)
Cast: Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson

Saved?: Did I start watching Evil because it was Luke Cage vs. Oliver Martin (X-Files S9E18) or Ben Linus (for all you Lost fans)? Yes. Did I stay for a different demonic possession each week? Also yes. Did this show keep me from canceling my Paramount+ subscriptions between Star Trek shows? Also also yes. Technically this show is saved, but I won’t believe it till I see Peter Scolari in a collar behind the scenes.
